About Us
The Brand
Our name comes from one of the most exciting sights in the life of a coastal fishermen: a tailing redfish. A sight that widens the eyes and is often followed by words similar to “They’re here.” The spotted tail stands out against the backdrop of flooded spartina grass. Here at Tailin’ Ties, we are all about standing out among the crowd. Our brand is meant for those who notice and appreciate such a small detail. Its for those who believe that being outdoors isn’t a hobby, but a way of life.
The Story
In June of 2021, Tailin’ Ties began as an idea to offer quality products that are unique to fishermen. Owner/Founder Evan Keisler got to work right away: learning how to sew, making prototypes, and choosing the best quality materials to make this crazy idea come true. After 5 months of trial, error, and lots of learning, The Redfish bow tie was finally ready. In December 2021, we began selling the original Tailin’ Tie. A few months later, we completed our first collection: The Inshore Slam Collection.
The Product
Our products are proudly made in Charleston, South Carolina. Owner and founder, Evan Keisler, designs each bow tie himself and gets the designs printed on cotton satin fabric. The fabric printing process occurs in London, GB. The black twill fabric is sourced from the US and makes up the body and strap on each bow tie. All of our current designs come “pre-tied” and feature an adjustable strap. Talented local seamstresses handcraft our bow ties and each one is thoroughly checked for quality before being boxed and sent to you!
