Are these made out of actual fish tails? Wood? Painted on?

No, our bow ties are made of a blend of cotton satin and black cotton twill fabric. Each tie is digitally printed with a picture of a fish tail from a fish caught in Charleston, SC waters.

How are these bow ties made?

Using state of the art technology, our unique designs are digitally printed on the cotton satin face of our bow ties. All of the design work is done in-house by our founder and made to look as realistic as possible. The face is backed with three layers of black cotton twill to give the tie structure and depth. Our adjustable straps are made with the finest bow tie hardware and cotton twill. We then attach the middle band (rope/leg band) per order.

Are the bow ties pre-tied or self-tie?

Our bow ties do not have the ability to be tied and come “pre-tied.” Our unique “rope middle” prevents us from making it a self-tie bow tie. Our adjustable strap means our ties will fit just about anyone.

Where are these bow ties made?

All of our bow ties are designed in-house and handmade in Charleston, South Carolina by talented local seamstresses. That means not only are you supporting this local business, you are also supporting local seamstresses.
