The Alachua Stern Lines gets its name from the Timucuan word “Alachua” that roughly translates to “sinkhole” or “swamp”. The Timucuan people inhabited a large swath of the Florida territory including the area of present-day Gainesville.

The Alachua Stern Line is made for gameday in Gainesville. Featuring orange, electric blue, and white, The Alachua is designed for all day tailgating, boating, and cheering your team on in The Swamp.

The Osceola Stern Line gets its name from the renowned Seminole leader Osceola, who called what is now modern-day Tallahassee, Florida his home during the 19th century. Osceola led a band of fierce warriors in the Second Seminole War, standing up against the US Army that was threatening to seize his ancestral land. In 1837, he was captured and imprisoned, later being transferred to Fort Moultrie. Today, this legendary figure is buried at Fort Moultrie on Sullivans Island, SC.

The Oconee 2.0 Stern Line is our second rendition of this strap for our new gameday collection. The Oconee River gets its name from the Creek word “Oconee” meaning “great waters”. The river is located in central Georgia and flows through present-day Athens, GA.

The Tuskaloosa Stern Line gets its name from the Native American chief “Tuskaloosa,” who once called the region of modern-day Alabama home. His name is derived from two words in the native language: “tashka” and “losa,” which together mean “Black Warrior.” Chief Tuskaloosa was captured by the Spanish explorer, Hernando de Soto, and taken to a village nearby. The native’s launched a surprise attack on Tuskaloosa’s captors but despite their efforts, they were ultimately defeated.

The Colonel Tew Stern Line

The Colonel Tew Stern Line gets its name from Colonel Charles Courtenay Tew. Tew was born in Charleston, SC in 1827. He was one of 20 cadets admitted into the South Carolina Military Academy, known today as The Citadel. He was the first graduate and honor graduate of The Citadel. He would later move to North Carolina and founded the Hillsboro Military Academy in 1859. He went on to lead the 2nd North Carolina Infantry at the Battle of Antietam where he was mortally wounded.

This Stern Line is made to honor Colonel Tew and to make the connection between The Citadel and North Carolina. Featuring sky blue, white, and navy blue, this Stern Line is made to wear out on gamedays.

The Plains Stern Line gets its name from the city of Auburn, Alabama’s unofficial nickname, “The Loveliest Village on the Plains”. That nickname is derived from Oliver Goldsmith’s poem, The Deserted Village, which was written about a fictional town in England.

The Bayougoula Stern Line takes its name from the Muskogean word “Bayougoula,” which translates to “bayou people.” The Bayougoula were a Native American tribe that once inhabited the region just south of present-day Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Bayougoula tribe was mostly wiped out by other tribes and disease. This Stern Line pays tribute to the lost tribe that called the Baton Rouge area their home.
